Lilly has attacked 11 sellers. Six people have been injured in their liver after taking vials of reta in one Australian state. Two deaths have been reported to the FDA, cause unconfirmed.
This is why you need to be extra cautious when buying retatrutide online.
There were 200 tests on the public list that failed on Finnrick, and 40 of these were retatrutide tests. I read the lab reports of three stores, two in the USA and one in Australia, before I wrote a word about where to buy.

How I scored. Five checks, 2 points each: a named lab, the report confirmed on the lab’s own site, measured content within 5% of the label, an endotoxin or sterility result, and posted return terms. It scores paperwork. It does not say a vial is safe. Prices were read on October 18, 2026 and change often.

- Price Sold as “AMP-3P.” The 12 mg vial is $52, or $44.20 each at 10 or more. The lab portal also lists 6, 20, 24 and 48 mg.
- 12 mg report Lot AMP-3P1209082026-04. Retatrutide measured 14.43, 14.39 and 14.38 mg on a 12 mg label (about 120%). Purity 99.56% to 99.58%. Endotoxin under 10 EU per vial. Sterility pass. Arsenic, cadmium and lead not detected.
- Lab The report lists Janoshik task #235476. Ameano hosts the results page, and I did not confirm it on Janoshik’s site.
- Shipping and returns US only. Free shipping over $200. The site promises a 30-day refund.
- Watch out A 12 mg vial holding 14.4 mg is a label mismatch, even in your favor. The product page says “triple-agonist peptide” and the results page says Retatrutide. I found no independent Finnrick tests for this seller as of October 9.

- 10 mg report PepTester certificate PT-2026-0109, testing by MS3 Solutions, September 8, 2026. Identity by mass spectrometry. Purity 99.80%. Net content 11.53 mg on a 10 mg label (about 115%). It shows no endotoxin or sterility result. I did not verify it on PepTester’s site.
- Lab The seller says it sends each batch to Janoshik. The 10 mg report I opened is from PepTester.
- Shipping and returns Ships from Sydney, Australia only, by Australia Post. Free express over A$100. 30-day replace or refund.
- Watch out Victoria’s health department linked liver injuries to products labelled Reta, R-10 and R-20, and the TGA has not assessed retatrutide. Check the TGA’s rules on importing unapproved peptides before you order.

How to check a reta peptide before you order
- Find the lab’s name. A logo is not a name.
- Open the report on the lab’s own site. Use its QR code or verify page.
- Match the lot on the report to the lot on the product.
- Compare measured mg to the label. Over or under, a gap is a gap.
- Look for an endotoxin number with a unit. “Pass” with no number is weaker.
Red flags: no lab name, a report you cannot open on the lab’s site, a lot that does not match, a product page that never says retatrutide, crypto-only payment, and prices far below the rest.
Independent data is thin. Finnrick lists 4,567 retatrutide tests across 402 vendors as of October 14, 2026. Its public list of 200 shows 157 passes, 40 fails and 3 incomplete. Are retatrutide peptides legal, and what has gone wrong?
- Not approved. As of October 18, 2026, no regulator has approved retatrutide. Lilly told Medscape it plans to file with FDA in the first quarter of 2027.
- Not compoundable. FDA says retatrutide cannot be used in compounding under federal law, and that a “research” label does not change how it treats products sold for human use (FDA page).
- Lawsuits. Lilly sued six sellers on August 12 and five more on October 8. A law-firm summary says the complaints cite sellers’ affiliate programs and influencer links as evidence of human-use marketing. These are allegations.
- Australia. Six people in Victoria developed acute liver injury after using products labelled Retatrutide, Reta, R-10 or R-20 (June 19 alert). The department suspects a contaminant. It did not say the molecule caused it.
- Two deaths reported to FDA. CBS News reported them on October 13. The details are unverified, and it is unclear whether the drug was to blame.
- Reddit reports. A JAMA Network Open analysis of 148,640 posts found increased appetite (17.1%), fatigue (15.2%) and nausea (11.6%) among 7,823 users. Dose, purity and product were unverified.
- Cancer risk. Unknown. Retatrutide has no long-term human record.
I cannot tell you whether a buyer commits an offense. That depends on where you live. Ask a lawyer. If you used a vial and feel unwell, seek medical care and tell the clinician what you took and where it came from. In the US, report problems to FDA MedWatch at 1-800-FDA-1088.
Do not use reta peptides if you are under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding, a tested athlete (WADA bans unapproved drugs), or living with type 1 diabetes, which the Phase 3 trials did not cover.
What is retatrutide peptide?
Retatrutide (LY3437943) is an investigational once-weekly injection from Eli Lilly. It activates three hormone receptors: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. “Reta,” “reta peptide” and “GLP-3” are nicknames for it. People also spell it retratutide, retatutide or retitrutide, and write it as R3ta.

Evidence grade: Human RCT, funded by Lilly. Side effects were mostly stomach-related. At 12 mg in TRIUMPH-1, nausea hit 42.4% and diarrhea 32.0%, against 14.8% and 13.5% on placebo. Those results belong to Lilly’s trial drug. They say nothing about a vial from a store.

Can you buy retatrutide in Australia?
Not as an approved medicine, because the TGA has not assessed retatrutide. Research-chemical sellers such as PhaseOne list it from Sydney and ship within Australia, and Victoria linked six liver injuries to products labelled Reta, R-10 and R-20. What is retatrutide peptide?

Can retatrutide cause cancer?
Nobody knows yet. Retatrutide has no approved label and no long-term human safety record. Approved drugs in the same family carry warnings about thyroid tumors, and whether retatrutide shares that risk is not established.
Is reta peptide safe?
I cannot call it safe. The trials of Lilly’s drug found mostly stomach side effects that rose with dose. Vials sold online have been linked to six liver injuries in Victoria and to two deaths reported to the FDA, though causes are unconfirmed. The contents of any given vial are unverified.
Is retatrutide available in the US?
Only through Lilly: in clinical trials, or through a physician-requested single-patient expanded access program (NCT07629401) for adults with severe obesity and serious complications. Approved alternatives are tirzepatide, semaglutide and orforglipron.
