I took 100mg niacin with a glass of water in the morning on an empty stomach. 20-30 minutes later, my face turned red and I got this burning sensation. 15 minutes later the flush began to wear off and I noticed a huge burst of energy and happiness.

However, everyone will have their own experience. A niacin flush can last for ten minutes up to two hours.

Your body starts to adjust to a specific dose over time. 100mg might not work well for me after a month. So I need to perhaps take 150 or 250mg to induce a flush.
