We scored 10 liposomal glutathione bottles on five things you can check yourself.
The brand behind the best-known liposomal glutathione study finished fourth. The brand in nearly half of one tracker’s sample of glutathione videos on TikTok and Instagram finished fifth.1 And the top scorer is a bottle its maker says it does not authorize for sale on Amazon.2
Liposomal glutathione is hard to judge from the outside. You can’t see a liposome, and no brand we checked publishes how much glutathione sits inside one. So we scored what you can see: the lab report, the label, the claims, the price, and whether anyone tested the product in people.
Whether it does anything for you is a separate question. Our guide to liposomal glutathione covers what the research shows, and our page on liposomal glutathione benefits grades each claim. If you’ve already decided to buy, pick the bottle that hides the least.

10 liposomal glutathione brands, ranked
ReadiSorb scored 8 out of 10. Nothing else reached 6. Most brands give you a label and a promise. Only three of ten post a lab report at all.
Points per check. 2: passes. 1: partly. 0: fails or not shown. Ties go to the higher lab-report score, then phospholipid, then the lower price per gram.

What makes a good liposomal glutathione: the five checks
Each check is worth 2 points. Each one is something you can verify from your couch before you pay.
1. A lab report for your batch
2 points for a public lab report tied to a lot number that shows the glutathione amount. 1 point if the report tested bulk liquid or found an amount far off the label. 0 if there is no public report.
This check matters most because labels lie more than you’d think. A test commissioned by a rival brand found only 6 of 12 glutathione products sold on Amazon held their claimed amount, and two held none.3,4 A good report also lists heavy metals, which Rho’s did and ReadiSorb’s did not.5,6
2. Human data on this exact product
2 points if a published human trial used this product. 0 if not, including when a brand cites a study of something else.
Brands borrow studies. LivOn cites a six-month trial of plain, non-liposomal Setria capsules to support its liposomal packet.7,8 Pure Encapsulations backs its liquid with a trial that used a competitor’s product.9,10 Only Tri-Fortify and ReadiSorb have published trials of their own. Tri-Fortify’s is a human small study of 12 healthy adults with no placebo. ReadiSorb’s are human small studies of 15 to 30 patients each, with placebo groups.10,11,12
3. The phospholipid, in milligrams
2 points for phosphatidylcholine or phospholipid listed in milligrams. 1 point for naming the source only, like “sunflower lecithin.” 0 if it isn’t listed.
Phospholipid is what forms the liposome. Lecithin is only about 20 to 26% phosphatidylcholine, so “contains lecithin” tells you little about how much of the liposome-forming part is in your bottle.13
4. Claims that hold up
We checked each brand’s glutathione pages and labels for three red flags: an “FDA approved” badge, an absorption claim with no published study of that product, and a cited study that tested a different product or got misquoted. No red flags earns 2 points. Any red flag earns 0.
This check failed seven of ten brands. Each failure is listed in the reviews below, so you can judge whether it bothers you.
5. Price per gram of glutathione
2 points for $3 or less per gram. 1 point for $3 to $7. 0 above $7.
To work it out, divide the price by (mg per serving × servings ÷ 1,000). A $45 bottle with 50 servings of 100 mg holds 5 g, so you pay $9 a gram. Across these ten, the spread runs from $1.67 to $27.22.
What no score can catch
No brand we checked publishes a measured liposome size, how spread out the sizes are, or how much glutathione sits inside the liposomes. Those are the numbers that show a product holds real liposomes, and NSF and USP seals don’t test them either.
The founding liposomal glutathione patent checked for liposomes with a light microscope.14 The best public lab report on this list still just reads “Liposomes: Present.”6
Glutathione also oxidizes in liquid, which is why some makers use single-dose packets or airless pumps and why most liquids say to refrigerate after opening.15 A sulfur smell is normal. One that gets stronger over weeks can mean oxidation.
The 10 brands, reviewed
1. ReadiSorb: highest score (8/10)
A teaspoon of ReadiSorb holds 422.7 mg of reduced glutathione, and the 24-serving bottle runs $60.99 at a US retailer, about $6 a gram.16 It is the liposomal glutathione used in the published placebo-controlled trials. All of them were small, and all were in patients. Two more finished trials were never published.11,12,17,18
The public lab reports show 107% of the labeled amount at pH 3.36. But all three posted lots cite the same potency test, so one test stands behind three batches. The reports also skip heavy metals, the lecithin is soy, and the label still prints a patent listed as expired in November 2025.6,19 The maker says it doesn’t authorize Amazon sales, so buy from a practitioner store or its site.2 See ReadiSorb
2. Rho Nutrition: best value with a lab report (5/10)
Rho packs 500 mg into a 4 mL serving and charges $52.95 for 30 of them, which works out to $3.53 a gram.5 It is the only brand here whose lab report lists oxidized glutathione. It found about 30 mg per serving, next to 630 mg of reduced glutathione, which is 126% of the label. So under 5% of the glutathione in that sample had already oxidized. Heavy metals tested below 0.001 ppm.
The potency test ran on bulk liquid, so it doesn’t prove what is in your bottle. Rho uses sunflower lecithin with no amount listed and sweetens with monk fruit. Use it within 75 days of opening. See Rho
3. Codeage 1000 mg: lowest price per gram (5/10)
Two capsules hold 1,000 mg of GlutaONE reduced glutathione. A 30-serving bottle costs $49.99, or $1.67 a gram.20 No misleading claim turned up on its pages, and nothing on this list is cheaper per gram.
But no lab report is public, and the phospholipid amount isn’t stated. Capsules raise a bigger question. In the only head-to-head human test, a liposomal capsule raised blood glutathione about as much as plain glutathione.21 See Codeage
4. Tri-Fortify: the studied formula (4/10)
Tri-Fortify Orange puts 450 mg of reduced glutathione and 50 mg of vitamin C in every 5 mL. The 8 oz tube holds 48 servings and sells for $93.98 at a practitioner store, or $4.35 a gram.22 Its 2014 product sheet lists the same formula as today’s label, and that is the product the best-known liposomal trial used.23,10
So why fourth? It has no public lab report. And its product page quotes “a 25% reduction in oxidative stress markers,” which matches no single result in the paper. The paper reported 35% and 18 to 20% on different measures.22,10 The company also paid for the study, and it sells only through practitioners. See Tri-Fortify
5. Cymbiotika: the influencer favorite (3/10)
A Cymbiotika pouch holds 150 mg of glutathione plus CoQ10, PQQ and riboflavin. At $88 a box, that is about $21 to $23 a gram.24 It lists 20 mg of phosphatidylcholine and posts a lab report, which found about 268 mg of glutathione per pouch, 179% of the label. Getting more sounds fine, but it means the label doesn’t tell you what you’re taking.
Its “Clinically Proven 3x Higher Absorption” claim rests on its own study. That study is registered with no results posted, and it tested 250 mg of glutathione, not the 150 mg on the box. Its FAQ also says L-glutathione must be converted by the body, but L-glutathione and reduced glutathione are the same molecule. The 30-day subscription starts at $70.40 and renews at $79.20. See Cymbiotika
6. Lypo-Spheric (LivOn Labs): most phospholipid (3/10)
LivOn’s 5.4 mL packet holds 450 mg of Setria glutathione and 1,000 mg of soy phospholipids, the most phospholipid per serving on this list. Thirty packets cost $86.95, or $6.44 a gram.7
Its claims cost it the points. LivOn backs its liposomal packet with a trial of plain Setria capsules. It says liposomes are “impervious to digestive juices,” and a UK government review says otherwise. Its FAQ also lists the alcohol per packet in milligrams, while the label says 0.648 grams.25 See Lypo-Spheric
7. Aurora Mega-Pack 750: cheap, with a red flag (3/10)
Aurora’s 20 mL packet holds 750 mg of glutathione and 180 mg of vitamin C, made with soy lecithin in an unstated amount. Its US store sells 32 packets for $49.99, or $2.08 a gram.26
Aurora’s drink-mix and capsule labels carry an “FDA Approved” badge. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements, so the brand fails the claims check. No lab report is public. See Aurora
8. Quicksilver Scientific (2/10)
Quicksilver puts 100 mg of OPITAC glutathione and 75 mg of sunflower phosphatidylcholine in each 1 mL. The $45 bottle holds 50 servings, so you pay $9 a gram.27 It ships with ice packs, and you finish it within 30 days of opening.
Its page says only 100 mg is needed because its liposomes absorb better, and cites no study. Its Glutathione Complex page claims liposomes of 20 to 100 nanometers, with no published measurement. See Quicksilver
9. Pure Encapsulations liquid (2/10)
A serving has 100 mg of glutathione and 75 mg of sunflower phosphatidylcholine, the same formula as Quicksilver Lemon Mint down to the order of ingredients. At $60 for 50 servings, it costs $15 more than Quicksilver, or $12 a gram.9
Its liquid’s absorption claim cites a study that used another brand’s product. Its softgel cites a study of glutathione put directly into the lungs of preterm infants. And its “free from soy” banner sits beside a softgel label that says “contains soy.” See Pure Encapsulations
10. Terra Health Essentials (1/10)
Terra’s 2 mL serving holds 60 mg of glutathione plus CoQ10, PQQ and alpha-lipoic acid. Thirty servings cost $49, or $27.22 a gram.28 It is sold as “1 serving = 9 standard capsules” and “90% absorption,” with no study cited. At 60 mg a serving, you would need 17 servings to match one day in the six-month plain-glutathione trial.8 See Terra Health
Which liposomal glutathione should you buy?
- ReadiSorb, if you want a product tested in people and a lab report you can read.
- Rho, for a lab report at a lower price per gram.
- Codeage 1000 mg, for the lowest price per gram in capsules, as long as you can live without a public lab report.
- Tri-Fortify Orange, through a practitioner, for the exact formula from the trial in healthy adults.
- If you avoid soy, look at Rho, Codeage, Cymbiotika, Quicksilver and the Pure Encapsulations liquid, which use sunflower phospholipids.
- If you have asthma, are pregnant or are in cancer treatment, read the safety section of our liposomal glutathione guide first.
- If you avoid alcohol, skip Lypo-Spheric, Quicksilver and the Pure Encapsulations liquid, which list ethanol.
- Weighing liposomal against plain or S-acetyl? See our liposomal vs reduced vs S-acetyl glutathione comparison.
- If cost matters most, read our liposomal glutathione vs NAC comparison first. NAC is the cheaper building block, and it has its own trial record.
FAQ
Which liposomal glutathione is third-party tested?
Of these ten, ReadiSorb, Rho and Cymbiotika post lab reports. Cymbiotika’s and Rho’s include heavy metals, and only Rho’s lists oxidized glutathione.6,5,24
Is liquid or capsule liposomal glutathione better?
No trial has compared them. The liposomal glutathione patents describe liquids. In the one human head-to-head test, a liposomal capsule did about as well as a higher dose of plain glutathione.14,21
Is Codeage liposomal glutathione good?
It is the cheapest per gram here at $1.67, with no misleading claims found. It has no public lab report and doesn’t state its phospholipid amount, so you are trusting the label.20
Is Cymbiotika glutathione worth the price?
At about $21 to $23 a gram, it costs 10 to 14 times more per gram than Aurora or Codeage. Its own lab report shows more glutathione than the label, but its “3x” absorption claim rests on its own unpublished study of a different dose.24
Is it smart to buy liposomal glutathione on Amazon?
Check the seller. ReadiSorb says it does not authorize Amazon sales, and one test found half of 12 Amazon glutathione products fell short of their label.2,3
So which is the best liposomal glutathione?
ReadiSorb shows the most proof. It is the product used in published trials, and it posts lab reports for named lots. Rho is the better value if you want a lab report, and Codeage is the cheapest per gram if you’re fine trusting a label.
None of them proves its liposomes. So pay for the proof you can see, and don’t pay $27 a gram for the word on the front.
