We investigate claims.
Not just certificates.
Our peptide vendor reviews distinguish published documents, independently authenticated evidence and claims that remain unverified. This methodology explains what we examine, how we document limitations, and what readers can independently check.
A laboratory report is evidence about the sample and tests it describes. It is not automatically evidence that every product sold by a vendor is authentic, sterile, safe or approved for human use.
Our five verification criteria
These criteria organize our investigations. They are not a numerical safety score or a certification system.
We identify the website and business associated with a claim.Similar business names are not treated as evidence of shared ownership.
We examine report numbers, laboratory identity and verification mechanisms.A laboratory logo alone does not authenticate a document.
We compare the compound, product strength and batch number against the report. An unknown batch cannot be linked confidently to current inventory.
Identity, purity, quantity, endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility are examined separately.Missing tests are not automatically failed tests.
We examine publicly available business information, affiliate relationships, customer policies and documented complaints. We distinguish allegations from established findings and allow factual corrections.
Our evidence classifications
We use the following labels so readers can see what has actually been established.
The seller states that testing was performed, but supporting documentation has not been examined.
A laboratory document is available and its contents have been reviewed. Independent confirmation of its authenticity may remain outstanding.
The issuing laboratory has confirmed the report through an independently accessed verification service or direct correspondence. This authenticates the report, not every product sold by the vendor.
Nootroholic or an independent commissioning party obtains and submits a sample for testing. This designation is used only when sample acquisition, laboratory records and results are documented.
Required information is missing, contradictory or cannot be confirmed.Unverified does not automatically mean fraudulent or unsafe.
How we examine a certificate
Our document-review workflow follows these steps when the relevant information is available.
Record the compound, stated strength, formulation, vendor and batch number.
Record the laboratory name, report number and testing date.Seek authentication through the laboratory’s own channels.
Check whether the report identifies the same product strength and batch as the item being reviewed. If the connection is unknown, state that explicitly.
Identify which methods were used, which results were measured and which specifications were applied.Investigate contradictory method descriptions where possible.
Identify absent testing, unknown batch details, authentication gaps and limitations in test scope.
Link the supporting report where publication is permitted.Attribute measurements to the laboratory and distinguish them from Nootroholic’s own findings.
What each laboratory test tells us
Different tests answer different questions. One favorable result cannot replace evidence from an unrelated test.
Analytical methods such as LC-MS can provide evidence about compound identity.
HPLC may quantify chromatographic purity under a specified method. It does not establish all aspects of product quality.
Measures the amount of material reported in the tested sample.
Evaluates bacterial endotoxin under a specified test method and acceptance limit.
Measures specified elements. Results below stated limits do not exclude every possible contaminant.
Screening and comprehensive sterility testing are not interchangeable. The actual method and incubation period must be considered.
Real examples from our investigations
The following examples explain how the methodology works in practice. They are not comprehensive evaluations of either supplier’s inventory.
Ascension Peptides
BPC-157 · 10 mg · Batch 12-05260628
- Report: KVR-2026-8646D1.
- Laboratory named: Kovera Labs.
- Reported purity: 99.441%.
- Measured content: 11.16 mg.
- Additional reports: Endotoxin, heavy metals and rapid microbial screening.
Laboratory authentication remains unconfirmed in our investigation. The endotoxin report contains inconsistent method descriptions. The two-day microbial screen is not comprehensive sterility validation.
Elite Edge Biotech
BPC-157 · 5 mg · Batch unknown
- Report: Baler Lab #8000007.
- Report date: May 19, 2026.
- Reported purity: 99.128%.
- Measured content: 5.13 mg.
- Missing documentation: Current batch match and the requested 10 mg report.
The examined certificate concerns a 5 mg sample. It cannot authenticate a separate 10 mg product.Endotoxin, heavy-metal and sterility results were not documented in the examined report.Missing results do not establish failed tests.
What we will not claim
We do not call a supplier medically safe, sterile, FDA-approved or independently verified solely because it publishes a certificate of analysis.
We distinguish examining a report from commissioning laboratory testing. We do not claim first-hand testing unless sample acquisition, testing and results are documented.
Complaints, accusations, laboratory discrepancies and confirmed misconduct are separate categories of evidence. We verify business identity and describe what documentation supports each published claim.
A test result for one submitted sample does not establish the composition, quality or safety of an entire supplier’s inventory.
Affiliate and editorial transparency
Some vendor and product links on Nootroholic are affiliate links. We may receive a commission when readers purchase through those links. We disclose these relationships near relevant recommendations.A commercial relationship is not laboratory evidence and does not authenticate product claims.
Our published conclusions should follow the evidence presented.Where a vendor provides information, samples or documentation, we identify its origin and disclose material commercial relationships.Missing information and unresolved questions remain visible rather than being converted into positive conclusions.
Corrections and updates
Laboratory reports, product specifications and vendor policies can change. When credible new documentation becomes available, we reassess affected statements and update the relevant article.Material corrections should explain what changed and why.
Vendors may submit documentation supporting a correction or disputing a factual claim. We examine the evidence rather than treating a vendor response as automatic proof.Reviews distinguish unresolved disagreements from verified findings.
